What is GST

The majority of products and services sold for domestic consumption are subject to the goods and services tax (GST), which is a type of value added tax. On March 29, 2017, Parliament approved the Goods and Services Tax Law. The Goods and Services Tax Law in India is a comprehensive, multi-stage, destination-based tax that is applied to each value added, and it went into effect on July 1, 2017.
The goods and services tax (GST), to put it simply, is an indirect tax levied on the provision of goods and services. Many of India's earlier indirect tax legislation have been replaced by the GST law. Consumers pay the GST, but the businesses that provide the goods and services pass it through to the government. In reality, taxes on products and services bring in money for the government.
